FUNDRAISE FOR US

Keep the Kitchen cooking

It costs over £300,000 every year to keep the Coexist Community Kitchen’s doors open and ovens on. That’s why we’re always cooking up creative ways to raise money — from catering events & weddings, running workshops, and hosting unforgettable food events. Every penny goes back into keeping this place alive.

We need your help!

Our small but mighty team — supported by a crew of incredible volunteers — raises over £150,000 each year, around half of what’s needed to keep the kitchen running. The rest comes from grants, trusts, donations, and people in our community choosing to fundraise for us.

Community support has always been a vital part of keeping this kitchen running and growing. This kitchen means so much to so many, and it’s people coming together and doing amazing things that helps secure its future. With your support, we can not only keep going, but grow our impact and be there for even more people in the years ahead.

Whether it’s hosting a supper club, running a bake sale, taking on a challenge, or bringing people together in your own way, fundraising for Coexist Community Kitchen helps keep this space alive for everyone who needs it.

The difference you could make

Setting a fundraising target of £500 is a great place to start — and it can make a real difference

Raising £500 could help us:

  • Cook around 150 meals for people experiencing food insecurity

  • Welcome over 40 people to our free Monthly Meal for a hot, nourishing two course meal

  • Offer 8 people in need of support a free place at one of our outreach cooking workshops

Every fundraiser, big or small, helps us bring people together, share food, and support those who need it most.

Thai Menu

Thai Supper Club Fundraising Kit
£0.00

A note from your chef:

When most people think of Thai food, they go straight to pad thai or a red curry. Delicious, yes - but there’s so much more to explore! For this Supper Club, I’ve deliberately skipped the ‘greatest hits’ because I want to show you why I really love Thai food.

We’re heading north - where the flavours are bold, complex, and a little unexpected if you’re used to the southern and island dishes you see on most menus. Think layers of spice, tang, and crunch that keep your taste buds guessing. It’s food that’s vibrant, sociable, and a bit adventurous…perfect for sharing around a big table with friends. Happy cooking, and happy hosting!

Italian Menu

Italian Supper Club Fundraising Kit
£0.00

A note from your chef:
For me, one of the main joys of Italian cooking lies in its simplicity. If you’ve got good-quality base ingredients — extra virgin olive oil, pasta flour, lemons, tomatoes — you’re away.

These recipes span multiple regions of Italy, from Tuscany to Piedmonte via Sardinia, and all show how easy and communal Italian cooking can be. Get your guests to pitch in with some pasta rolling while you sip on a glass of wine, blast a bit of Italo Disco, and embrace la dolce vita.

Salvadoran Menu

Salvadoran Supper Club Fundraising Kit
£0.00

A note from your chef:

There’s so much more to Mexican food than tacos and guacamole. The flavours of El Salvador mix Indigenous and Spanish traditions, giving us something truly unique. Corn is the star here - think pupusas and tamales - with beans and cassava adding earthy depth.

Tropical fruits like mangoes and jocotes bring sweetness, while loroco, an edible flower, adds a delicate aroma. Spices like achiote, plus fresh coriander and oregano, tie it all together - vibrant food made for sharing. Happy cooking, happy hosting!

Chinese Menu

Chinese Supper Club Fundraising Kit
£0.00

A note from your chef Mel:
This is a special menu of comforting Chinese dishes for a cosy dinner for family and

friends. These dishes are things I would cook for my family and friends on those chilled, dark nights. The emphasis on slow cooking and braising brings out warm spices in the beef dish, adds texture to the mushrooms, caramelises the potatoes into sweet sticky morsels, and turns humble rice and water into a bowl of pure comfort with bursts of flavour and texture in each bite!

I find cooking this way relaxing and, if you are a feeder like me, you will also appreciate this moment to take things slow and let time draw out flavours you know will please people who love to eat.
